Hello blog readers!
Joe here, giving you the most up to date news from the Codes In The Clouds camp.
Still no word from the Slipknot camp regarding our “beef”. I personally think they must be scared out of their minds.
We’ve been recording with Todd Howe of Boxer Rebellion fame…he’s a bit brilliant! After a couple of meetings and him mulling over 10 months worth of ambient demos, we walked into the studio with very unfinished songs and Todd has transformed them into not only something listenable, but something that we’re truly proud of. The songs we have recorded so far are sounding great if not a tiny bit insane. If this was a movie, then we would be a bit like those parents who try their hardest, but just don’t seem to be doing their children any good. Then Todd comes along as a tutor/teacher/football coach/therapist and unlocks the potential in this neglected child of an EP. I imagine Todd would be played by Robin Williams or Hugh Jackman and we’d be played by Woody Allen or Michael Cera or someone of that ilk. I still haven’t seen that recent Woody Allen movie, is it any good? The trailer was quite funny. I’m glad Woody is back on screen acting, his neuroses have always been a great source of joy to me… I digress.
We’re playing a show soon. This has been our quietest year to date, and to be honest with you, we don’t like it one bit. We miss being on the road. We have lots of plans for the next year and we can’t wait to get back out there and play these new songs for you all! The show we’re playing (the only one between now and next year) will be in London…somewhere. I can’t remember but I’m sure Ciaran will chuck the poster and event link at the bottom of this message, right Ciaran? I do know it’s on December 8th and it’s in the Shoreditch area. Shoreditch is that place in London where all the “cool” kids are. You know the ones who wear Game Boys as jewellery? Them.
If you’re in the East London area on the 8th, please come along. Seeing your faces would make the stress of finding a parking space in that area worth it.
Hugs, kisses and healthy hand shakes,
