HO HO HO! MERRY BLOG!
Hello all, hope you’re all enjoying your holiday season! To get in the spirit of the season, I have decided to put our beef with Slipknot on hold until January 6th. However, if I find out that they have been spreading rumours about us in our local pub, the only possible adjective to use regarding our next blog will be ‘biting’.
First of all, I want to apologise for those Londoners who were planning to come and watch us play on the 8th. We’re so sorry that we had to cancel that show. I don’t want to go into the reasons why we had to cancel, but believe me when we say that we weren’t happy about not playing the show. We really wanted to show people some of our new material. However, we hear that Light Parades played a brilliant set, so if you ended up going along on the night regardless, I’m sure you got value for money with those guys!
So, the work on the new E.P. isn’t as fast as we’d like it to be (typical us) but it is sounding good! We don’t want to rush anything this time. This process is still quite new to us, we aren’t used to having this much freedom in terms of time given to release a record. We’re going to press pause on the tape recorder that we’re recording it on over the holiday season and reconvene in January.
UK TOUR: We shall be going on a brief UK tour at some point in March before the release of the new E.P. This tour will be to road test the new songs and say hello to the places we have neglected over the past couple of years. Can’t wait to see everyone!
I can already tell that this is an awfully written blog, I haven’t even go to the big announcement yet and I know that my writing is atrocious. You really can tell that I’m listening to a podcast whilst writing this. I’m going to pause it for a minute, I don’t want to fuck up this last paragraph. Some people would say “Joe, why don’t you pause it for 5 minutes and just go back and correct your mistakes?” Well, first of all, I want to have this written before the Sunday afternoon football kicks off and I only have 3 minutes until then. Secondly, I just don’t want to. To quote the guy from that weird advert, “I’m not going to be who I’m expected to be anymore.” Have you seen that advert? It’s so strange. I don’t get it. I think it’s advertising aftershave or something… Y’know, there’s that model guy and he goes to some sort of press conference or something, then he sees a woman with blonde hair, then he says the line I quoted and walks away while he falls down… I need to try and remember what that advert is for so I can remember not to buy whatever that product is. I’m well off topic here. Football has kicked off. I’ve still got a whole fucking paragraph to write. OK, here we go:
CHRISTMAS GIVEAWAY! Yes! Because we’re such bloody nice guys, we’re giving away a 3 track E.P for FREE! That’s right, on tha frizzle! No money down! Your money is no good here, put it away, this one’s on us! The release will consist of 3 re-worked songs that we have played at less than a handful of shows over the past 4 years. The tracklisting is:
You Are Not What You Think You Are
We Anchor In Hope
The Distance Between Us/Your Panopticon
These songs will be up before Christmas for your holiday enjoyment.
Until next time blog readers! With love, cuddles, and wet wet kisses,
CITC
