SEPTEMBER BLOG
Hello all! Welcome back to the Codes in the Clouds blog! Did you miss us?
…No?
You’ve genuinely just said ‘no’ to us when answering that question?
That’s incredibly rude. You know you could’ve humoured us and pretended you’ve at least thought about this blog in the past month!
It’s all well and good saying ‘yes’ now I’ve had a go at you about it.
Look, just don’t worry about it and we’ll move on…I wouldn’t usually let this kind of social faux pas slide so easily but I’m a professional and shall persevere.
All I’m saying is, you’ve been warned.
Right. So. It’s September. How about that? We’ve reached the ‘bers. This time last year we were in the Studio in Brighton recording ‘As The Spirit Wanes’, now it’s a fully functioning music thing! We’re all very proud of our little lad, he’s all grown up. So we’re going to take these songs and do what people in the industry call a “tour”. Unfortunately, due to a bunch of very boring reasons, we shall only be doing a handful of shows in England (we’ll make up for it early next year and hopefully seeing people in Wales, Scotland and Ireland too.)
The shows we’re playing are:
September
10th - Nottingham - Spanky Van Dykes
24th - Portsmouth - Edge of the Wedge
25th - London - Vibe Bar
26th - Brighton - The Hope
After these few shows we shall be doing a European headline tour supported by our good buddy and incredible live act Rival Consoles.
The tour currently looks like this:
October
10th - Nijmegen, Netherlands - Meryln
11th - Gent, Belgium - Charlatan
12th - Hamburg, Germany - Prinzenbar
13th - Copenhagen, Denmark - KB18
14th - Berlin, Germany - Comet
15th - TBA
16th - TBA
17th - TBA
18th - TBA
19th - Nürnberg, Germany - MUZ
20th - TBA
21st - Innsbruck, Austria - PMK
22nd - Offenbach, Germany - Hafen
There are other things I need to mention…errrm…Oh! UK residents should all go and see Kill List this week, it’s really good. Errrrrrrrmmmmmm…………nope. Forgotten, sorry.
Anyway, to those coming to see us at any of these shows, we’ve been writing some new stuff recently which we’ll probably be playing (don’t worry, we’ll still play the “hits”*) so please come and let us know how you feel about these songs via the use of our new CiTC clap-o-meter!**
Hope to see you guys on the road (well, not on the road. Hopefully in the venues. How are you meant to hear our music or read our fantastic blog if you’re on the road? Plus you could get run over. Can you please just pack in this very silly behaviour.)
Enjoy your September!
CiTC

* We are aware that no one describes our songs as “hits”.
** CiTC clap-o-meter is still something that only exists in our minds. If we think hard enough then maybe, just maybe, it shall become an actual thing.
